PRIMARY CARE SPORTS MEDICINE
Primary care sports medicine physician consultations are available via family physician or medi-clinic referral.
Primary care sports medicine physicians provide clinical assessment and management services to a variety of clients at SOSMC. They have extensive experience with a variety of sports medicine and orthopedic conditions, and work closely with the orthopedic surgeons at the center.
Once a clinical assessment has been completed, the physician may establish a management plan including: medical/radiological investigations; physiotherapy rehabilitation; sport/activity modification; bracing; injection therapy; orthopedic referral; or additional management options.
The primary care physicians at SOSMC are dedicated to continuing education and technical training in order to provide the most up to date management techniques.
